Hi, I'm Hayley - Mum-of-two, lifelong organiser, label lover and founder of Chaos Calmed.  I set up this business in the Summer of 2024 after years of feeling the overwhelm in my own life, juggling parenthood with a career as a mental health nurse - and I want to help you find the sense of calm and freedom that I have through bringing order to my everyday. 

 

With endless life admin, parental responsibilities, attempts to maintain hobbies and social lives, it is no surprise that organising that cupboard of doom, junk drawer or spare room, that it's easier to just shut the door on, is way down our list of priorities. 

 

Yet, having less clutter, more space and a place for everything has been found to not only reduce our stress levels but also improve our sleep, our ability to keep on tops of things within the home and our relationships with others.

Chaos Calmed, located in Greenwich, South East London, specialises in decluttering and organising your home and having been trained by one of the UK's best professional organisers; BBC1's 'Sort your life out' decluttering and all-round super woman Dilly Carter, you are in very capable hands.  I was very lucky, as part of my training, to do work experience on 'Sort your life out', which was an incredibly rewarding learning experience.

With a focus on your well-being, Chaos Calmed is a professional organiser with a difference: it's not just a job for me.  I really care.  I care about you, how you feel and how the clutter that has built up around you and the heavy mental load can seem like a barrier to the life you want to lead.   

 

I understand that stuff can, quite literally, get on top of you - and with my natural ability to create order from chaos and a genuine sparkle of excitement that is provoked from all things organisation, I want to help you restore your sense of control and create the space you deserve to be a happier and more confident you.

With moving home being one of the most stressful things we do in our lives, let me help reduce that stress by staging your house so that you can achieve the best market value for your home, helping reduce your belongings before you move or unpacking for you once you have moved, meaning there is a considered and practical place for everything from day one.  With systems that are easy to keep on top of, you can even get the kids and other halves involved with maintaining the calm once everything has a home!

Chaos Calmed also offers virtual coaching - 'your organised Mum friend' on hand to inspire, motivate and advise you step-by-step on how to tackle an organisational project in your home.  This can be a one-off session or a series of sessions dependant on your goals and will be completely bespoke and tailored to your individual needs.

How does it work?

Consultation

Once you get in touch, I will schedule a free no-obligation phone/video/in-person consultation with you so that I can get to know you and your space in more detail. 

 

Before our chat, I will ask you to send me some pictures and videos of your space and a heads up, on what’s not working for you, so I can start to visualise a solution straight away. 

 

After the consultation, I will send you a quote for the project and then it will be up to you to decide if you want to book me to calm your chaos and bring about the change you deserve.

Planning & Preparation

Once a booking is confirmed, I will schedule a future date with you that is convenient, when the transformation will happen! 

 

Prior to this date I will plan out the best way to tackle the area of your home with suggestions for storage solutions (complete with links), that you may wish to purchase, catered to your personal budget. 

 

I will always try to re-use/re-purpose what you have, however an investment in particular storage may be advantageous to create the perfect solution or aesthetic for your home but it will be entirely up to you.  No pressure, just guidance on what may help create the biggest impact.

When the day arrives for me to work my magic in your home, we will start with a brief chat and a look at the space together.  Then you can leave me to it, to remove all of the items within that area/room into the nearest biggest space. 

 

Then I will give you a shout to come and start the de-cluttering process with me. We will work together every step of the way to decide what items you want to keep, donate, recycle or sell.  This can be an emotional process and you may experience feelings of overwhelm but I will fully support you through this and we will work at your pace.  I will be both gentle and encouraging but also honest and realistic to help you achieve the best result possible.

​

Finally, once we have de-cluttered it is back to me to re-organise your space in a considered, thoughtful, functional and beautiful way.  Once transformed, I will walk you through your newly re-set space and leave you to enjoy it with less stuff, less clutter, less stress and less chaos.

 

1 week post organise I will give you a buzz to see how it is working for you and you can tell me what you have done with the time and head-space you have gained for what's important!
